about

I made this track in January 1999 - I was listening to Captain Beefheart's music at the time, and wanted to get that kind of jumpy rhythm going in a synth patch. This noisy patch has a bunch of parallel sub-patches built into it - the synth runs several bars of its weird limping chant, then breaks for some seconds into one of the sub-patches (chosen at random), with parameters governing it also randomized when it switches, so none of these little 'excursions' ever repeat the same way.
